Safeguarding & Managing Risk

Safeguarding is designed to enable participants to protect children and young people by raising awareness of Safeguarding and Child Protection issues and to know their responsibilities in this area. Managing Risk covers the requirements to create a safe environment for children and young people and ensure that activities are organised and delivered safely.
The session builds on the e-learning modules that must be completed prior to attending the course. Key areas will be revisited and expanded upon. The session is about ensuring that the Boys’ Brigade is a safe space for all. Please note that some churches may have additional safeguarding requirements that you may have to adhere to and you should check with your church’s Safeguarding Officer.
